It is pretty clear that summer has gone by.
The lighting conditions (as you can see) at our best (after work) hours are no longer optimal.
The evening call to prayer (sunset) creeps forward a few minutes each day = is now at about 7PM.

That said, you should notice that there are various lights on board Estesun - and you can expect more over the next few months.

A perfect example of how these things work: Gunce Akay - from the name - is clearly Turkish. So why isn't it registered as such? Check the data link below and you see it is Panamanian.

But it's Turkish, through and through (at least in ownership/alphabet).

You could dig deeper into the law and such, but the bottom line is accountability - local law - finance - tax.

MSC Mirella

We have had a week or more of temperatures above 30 C and an accompanying hae that has made photos of limited value. This afternoon, as expected, we had a rain tha thas coooled things off and returned visibility to a normal state.

Belongs to Gundem Shipping, a relatively small group with only 3 ships of about the same size - but an internet presence that bodes well for them.

Very clearly a Turkish project, but registered out of Panama.

Local Boats

Note that the fishing boat is carrying a piggy backed smaller boat. And  there's quite a crowd on deck. Fishing season opens this week!
